The Environmental Justice Academy Ultimo Encuentro

The Environmental Justice Academy Ultimo Encuentro was held at REACH April 29th from 9:00am - 2:00pm.

The Environmental Justice Academy Ultimo Encuentro celebrated the end of a year-long series of workshops focused on farmworker education about environmental justice and how it relates to them. Farmworkers are at the forefront of toxic chemical exposure, climate change, water and air contamination and natural disasters but are very often the least informed. The goal of the EJ Academy was to reduce the knowledge gap and increase awareness in the farmworker community. We celebrated the graduation of 14 EJ Academy Scholars this weekend and we are so excited to see them continue their advocacy!
